Hodges University is grateful for the dedication and service of our armed forces. The Dr. Peter Thomas Veterans Services Center (VSC) at Hodges University is committed to supporting all military veterans, service members and their families in reaching their academic and career goals.
The mission of the Dr. Peter Thomas Veterans Services Center is to provide a welcoming and informative environment where veteran students and dependents receive support for funding their education and adjusting to student and civilian life.
The center is staffed with a full-time director (currently serving in the Air Force reserves), a full-time manager and three part-time VA work studies. The VSC team is committed to providing our veteran students with outstanding support and care.
The center provides a variety of resources for student veterans including:
Support services focus on the special needs of all military veterans, service members and their families. Referrals are made to appropriate offices and/or outside resources that share our passion for veterans.
Both campuses contain a dedicated space for the Veterans Services Center. The Fort Myers campus has additional space for students to study, relax, and socialize. The university is proud to have an American Legion Post on campus. The John Ebling Memorial at Hodges University American Legion Post 397 works closely with the Veterans Services Center to care for our veteran students. The university flies the POW-MIA flag on both campuses and has a POW-MIA display in the Student Union.
