  • Hodges’ School of Health Sciences is offering Heartsaver® CPR AED and Heartcode® BLS certification programs in a blended format. Individuals may take the Heartsaver® CPR AED or Heartcode® BLS lessons online at their own pace before scheduling an instructor-led skills practice and testing session at Hodges. Upon successful completion of the skills practice and testing sessions, students will receive a Heartsaver® CPR AED or Heartcode® BLS card that is valid for two years.

Students in the Heartsaver® CPR AED course will learn how to recognize when someone is in need of CPR and how CPR can increase survival rates, how to administer CPR on adults and children, and experience using an automated external defibrillator (AED).

Heartcode® BLS certification is designed for healthcare professionals. Depending on the need, an in-facility or pre-hospital track may be selected.
