Students must first complete several prerequisite courses before applying to the limited-enrollment Dental Hygiene Program. These courses may be completed individually or as part of an AA in Health Sciences. Please note, having completed the AA in Health Sciences program at Hodges University makes you an excellent candidate for the Dental Hygiene Program, but it's not a guaranteed acceptance.

Applicants will be told of their status approximately three weeks after the interview, dexterity testing, and essay have been completed. If accepted, prospective students will be conditionally admitted pending their Level II Criminal Background Check with finger printing, a physical examination, immunization record documentation, drug screening, and final grades.
Tuition for this program includes instruments, text books, and two sets of scrubs. Additional student expenses include dental loops with a light, blood pressure cuffs with stethoscope, and licensing exam fees.
Scholarships are available that may help you cover a portion of your tuition.

As part of the accreditation process, Hodges University's Dental Hygiene Program invites members of the public, such as faculty, students, program administrators, dental-related organizations, patients, and consumers, to submit written comments related to the Hodges University Dental Hygiene program to the Commission on Dental Education of the American Dental Association (CODA).
The deadline for responses is August 3, 2023. Comments should reference Hodges University in the communication. Letters may be signed or unsigned, but the Commission will remove names and signatures before forwarding statements to the school. Comments are to be concerning the accreditation standards currently in effect.
