Career goal:
My goal is to work with veteran students at Hodges or at a Veterans Administration (VA) hospital.

Tell us a little about yourself and your life:
I have a six-year-old daughter who I love with all my heart. I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to Florida less than two years ago. I moved to Florida to enjoy all the sunshine and to escape the snow.

What are your hobbies / extracurricular activities?
I enjoy writing and directing plays. I also enjoy going to the movies and spending time playing with my daughter.

What Has been your favorite class at Hodges University?
This is only my second semester so all of my classes have been my favorite with Gail Sabo and Craig Heller.

Currently, Ameena serves as a work-study with the Dr. Peter Thomas Veterans Services Center (VSC) at Hodges Naples campus.

More about the Dr. Peter Thomas Veterans Services Center:
The mission of the Dr. Peter Thomas Veterans Services Center is to provide a welcoming and informative environment where veteran students and dependents receive support for funding their education and adjusting to student and civilian life. The center is staffed with a full-time director, who is also a United States Air Force reservist, a full-time manager and three part-time VA work-studies.
