An adjunct faculty member at Hodges University for five years, Dr. Michael Cohen specializes in clinical health care, health care law and government health care policy. In addition to his work in academia, he also serves as a federal investigator for the Department of Health and Human Services. As an operations officer in charge of the nation’s law enforcement policy for Medicare part D cases for the federal agents, he works at the headquarters for the Office of Inspector General in Washington, D.C. Cohen is also a member of the medical staff of a busy emergency department.
With more than 25 years of emergency medicine and family practice experience, Cohen has served as president of Health Concepts, Inc., which was a health and safety educational firm; operations director of a large multi-specialty medical practice; and as a clinical adjunct professor for medical students at George Washington University and Uniformed Health Services.
