Raised in Miami, Fla., Professor Marion Rogers’ parents were both educators. Entering college at Florida A&M University in 2001, he admits that it was “pre-determined that I would be a lawyer.” After his first year in college, his passion for politics emerged and he began working for a county commissioner as the liaison between the community and the office. While crafting speeches, he found himself consumed in campaigns in the state capitol. He worked on numerous campaigns at the city and county level while pursuing his bachelor’s degree.

Relocating back to his hometown of Miami in 2006, he continued to serve as a campaign consultant but also began teaching. In 2008, he became an adjunct political science professor, which led to him joining Hodges University in 2011.

In 2010, Rogers was nominated for Who’s Who of Education, and in 2012, he served as the keynote speaker at the Annual 5000 Role Models convention in Miami Dade County.
