Joining the faculty at Hodges University in 2010, Dr. Cynthia Gomez has spent several years working for Broward County Schools teaching various courses, including English, Speech, Drama, Mass Media, Journalism, Yearbook, Intensive Reading and ESOL to students in ninth and 10th grade, as well as ESL students. Her main areas of specialization include developmental English and ESL.
Apart from her work at Hodges, her outside interests include being a Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL) presenter and serving on the volunteer advisory board for Champions for Learning with Collier County.
Married for more than 25 years, she and her husband have two children, Cera (23) and Tony (18). Gomez spends much of her time outside of school enjoying her family, reading and watching old movies.
