Tell us a little about yourself and your life:
I am very active, and I love to keep myself busy. Since I moved to this country, I have learned that hard work and passion will take you to where you want to be. I am a believer; I believe dreams can come true, and the world will give us what we ask for if we ask it with an open and honest heart.

What are your hobbies/extracurricular activities?
I love traveling, learning and reading. I also like good food, as well as spending time with good friends. I do yoga and POP Pilates. I enjoy being in nature, and I am into meditation and Reiki. I am also a private pilot, which allows me to fly airplanes with my dad. Lastly, I am scuba diver and enjoy exploring a completely new world under the sea.

What has been your favorite class at Hodges University?
I enjoyed all my classes, but I think Cognitive Psychology, Personality and Experimental Psychology were my favorites.

Who are some of your favorite professors and why?
Professor Kelly Bushéy because all of her honesty, charisma, positivity and constant motivation. She loves what she does and is passionate about it. Another one of my favorites is Professor Liana Calderin because of her teaching style, unconditional support, and because she really wants her students to learn and be successful. Lastly, Professor Yaroslaba Garcia because all of her amazing stories and experiences she brought to class every week. She has so much knowledge!

What is the biggest challenge you have faced and how did you overcome it?
English was my biggest challenge. In the beginning, it was hard for me to understand and write the essays because there were so many things I was still learning. Everything changed after one of my professors told me I was not ready for college, and it probably would take me longer to graduate. I was so mad and sad at the same time, but it helped me to get inspired. Since then, I have been working, improving and showing people I am ready, and I am good at this.

What does receiving a degree at Hodges mean to you?
It means such a great victory! I left my country three years ago without knowing if I would ever get my degree in this country. I have grown so much since then, and I have showed the world and myself that if this was possible, everything is possible.

What is one piece of advice you would give to students who are considering Hodges University?
You will not find the attention, quality and support anywhere else. The fact that the professors are interested in teaching you, it is priceless.
