Special Recognition: Student of the Month, July 2015
To become a physical therapist assistant and help geriatrics and injured veterans in Collier County following my graduation from Hodges University.
Tell us a little about yourself and your life:
I grew up in the San Francisco Bay area where I lived until my move to Naples in 2011 with Rob, my boyfriend of 15 years. In California, I was a licensed realtor since 2003. I have an adult daughter who still lives in California, where she manages a tanning salon.
What are your hobbies / extracurricular activities?
I have been an avid reader all my life, and it is my favorite pastime. In California, I spent a great deal of time snow skiing and sailing, and I have taken up jet skiing and RVing here in Florida. I also enjoy exploring the beautiful state of Florida. I enjoy the richness in the history of this state and the south. I enjoy giving back to the community and becoming involved in charitable endeavors. I have been blessed in my life, and I think it is important to give back when at all possible. When I have time, I also like to garden and sew.
What has been your favorite class at Hodges University?
I don’t know that I can specify one class as my favorite. Each class has given me unique skills that will be invaluable in the pursuit of my degree and my chosen profession. I am thankful for the quality of education I receive at Hodges and the caliber of instruction I have received.
