Valuable Training Workshops Available to Nonprofit Leaders in Southwest Florida

The Hodges University Center for Nonprofit Excellence (CNE) is hosting three workshops in May. The registration fee is $35 per workshop. CNE participants who attend four workshops in either governance, operations or management can earn a noncredit certificate in the topic area.

The “Creating a Strategic Fundraising Plan” workshop will take place from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3. Sheryl Soukup, president of Soukup Strategic Solutions, Inc., will walk participants through the basic steps of creating a fundraising plan. The session will empower nonprofit leaders to effectively evaluate their options and invest in strategies that yield the most success. The workshop will be held in the Kleist Community Room, Building H on the Fort Myers campus – 4501 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL 33966.

The “What is your Ethical Dilemma in your Nonprofit?” workshop will take place from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 12. Paul Seifert from the Conservancy of Southwest Florida will serve as the moderator as an expert nonprofit panel discusses some of the “ethical” choices you encounter in your day-to-day operations. The workshop will be held in the White Community Room, Stock Building on the Naples campus – 2647 Professional Way, Naples FL 34119.

The “Selecting and Retaining Top Talent in Nonprofits” workshop will take place from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 19. Debbie Mathews Finch with Mathews Finch Consulting Group will lead the discussion. Attendees will learn how to select and retain top talent for their nonprofit and learn various techniques and strategies to organizing a successful search. The workshop will be held in the White Community Room, Stock Building on the Naples campus – 2647 Professional Way, Naples FL 34119.
