Hodges University News

The Southwest Florida Library Network (SWFLN) will hold their annual meeting at Hodges University on Wednesday, November 14, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the institute’s Fort Myers campus, 4501 Colonial Boulevard.

During the meeting, Florida Senator Lizbeth Benacquisto (R-FL, District 27) will be honored as a library champion for her work in representing the needs of libraries in the Southwestern region of Florida. This is the second time that the Senator has been awarded this honor.

Speaking at the annual summit will be Angela Lane, author of the children’s book, “Mommy, There’s a Giraffe in my Room.”  Lane will speak about her journey in becoming a children’s author. Following the meeting, guests will have the opportunity of touring the newly renovated library at the Hodges campus. The library renovation recently earned a Summit Award for Sheeley Architects at the Lee BIA Awards banquet.
