Marketing and Communication Techniques Offered to SWFL Nonprofits

Nonprofit business leaders who want to learn more about creating a strategic marketing plan or how to successfully build their nonprofit through storytelling can learn from industry experts thanks to Hodges University’s Center for Nonprofit Excellence (CNE).

The “Creating a Strategic Marketing Plan” workshop will take place from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 4. Sheryl Soukup, president of Soukup Strategic Solutions, Inc., will walk participants through the basic steps of creating a marketing plan that aligns with the organization’s strategic plan and supports the development plan. The workshop will be held in the Kleist Community Room on the Fort Myers campus – 4501 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL 33966.

The Art and Science of Persuasive Presentations” workshop will take place from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 13. Ken Sneeden, president of Ken Sneeden & Associates, LLC, will answer the questions, Why do some ideas catch on and others flounder? Why do some nonprofits flourish while others struggle? He will discuss how storytelling will be the most important business skill in the next five years. The workshop will be held in the Stock Building, John White Community Room on the Naples campus – 2647 Professional Way, Naples, FL 34119.

The registration fee is $35 per workshop, unless otherwise noted. CNE participants who attend four workshops in each governance, operations or management can earn a noncredit certificate in the topic area.
