Lifelong Learning Opportunities Offered at Hodges University

CLL Welcome Back

Just because it is summer does not mean learning stops. For adult learners in Southwest Florida, the Frances Pew Hayes Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL) at Hodges University has recently launched its summer session for individuals interested in lifelong learning opportunities.

Releasing its summer session catalog, Hodges University’s CLL provides a broad-based curriculum, incorporating discussion groups, lectures, field trips and workshops. Organized by theme, participants can attend lectures focusing on history, music, health and well-being, literature, technology, writing and nature.

To kick off the summer session, the CLL is hosting a special lecture Tuesday, July 11 from 1:00-2:30 p.m. Janina Birtolo, who is well known for her one-woman shows based on historical characters, will present Elemental Women: Marie Curie on Hodges’ Naples campus, in the Stock Building’s John White Community Room. This event is free and open to the public; however, registration is required.

In addition, field trips to the Revs Institute, TheatreZone and the Collier County Museum are available for an additional cost. RSVP deadlines are as follows: July 3 (Revs Institute), July 25 (TheatreZone) and August 24 (Collier County Museum).

To purchase a CLL membership, the price per person is $250 for an annual membership and $125 for a summer 2017 membership. Individual classes are $25 unless otherwise noted.
