Hodges University will host the 3rd Annual Men of Vision and Excellence (MOVE) Conference on October 25, 2014 at the institution’s Naples Campus, beginning at 9:00 am.

The Conference is sponsored by the Florida Diversity Council. There is no charge to attend the event. The MOVE Conference was created to address the needs of high school, college and young professional males ages 14-25. The event will explore various issues that young men face in contemporary society – completing and excelling in high school and college; preparing for and excelling in the workplace; branding oneself and becoming leaders in the community.

The conference is designed to create an environment that invites young men, professionals and mentors to come together and engage in dialogue regarding relevant issues and topics. Workshops that will be offered include “Giving Back,” “Financial Planning,” “Going to College,” “Positive Relationship Building,” and “Harnessing Technology & Social Media.”

There will be a panel with diverse executive males from local companies such as 21st Century Oncology, Bloomin’ Brands, Hodges University, Lee Memorial Health System, and The News-Press Media Group, who will share their knowledge, experiences and offer attendees the opportunity to engage in a “question & answer” session. The luncheon keynote speaker, Mandell Crawley, Managing Director & Head of National Business Development for Morgan Stanley, will share his story of rising up the corporate ladder and the challenges and successes he experienced.

Mentor/Student Roundtables will also take place at the conclusion of the event, giving the young men in attendance the opportunity to meet with male professionals from across the state to discuss the conference and their future college & career plans.
