Hodges to feature nationally recognized authority on subject of forgiveness
The Frances Pew Hayes Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL) at Hodges University will present a free lecture featuring Dr. Sidney Simon to discuss the six developmental stages of forgiveness. The lecture will be held on Friday, February 24 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 am at the Hodges University Science and Technology building, 2655 Northbrooke Drive, just off I-75, in Naples.
This interactive presentation will show participants that they can all learn to forgive. Dr. Simon will present the six developmental stages of forgiveness, and help participants explore ways to move beyond hurt and pain. Also, participants will have an opportunity to design a forgiveness plan to improve personal power and make life more satisfying in the present.
Dr. Simon is Professor Emeritus at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He is an internationally and nationally recognized authority in the areas of values clarification and values realization, self-esteem and negative criticism. He has published numerous books and has appeared in Reader’s Digest, Ladies Home Journal and Glamour, among many others. Dr. Simon is a popular guest speaker, has lectured at The Betty Ford Center, and has appeared on various television programs, including Oprah. He is often described as one of the most dynamic, and at the same time caring and tender seminar facilitators offering workshops today.
