Hodges names Student of the Month for October 2013
The Academic Committee of Hodges University has named James Seaberg the student of the month for October. James is studying in the Accounting Program and looks to graduate at the end of this term. His ultimate goal is to become a CPA.
Originally from the Chicago area, James originally came to Southwest Florida to help support his family and decided to stay and finish college at Hodges. Besides his academic work, James also enjoys volunteering with the HU Ambassadors Club and the many community service projects they are involved in. He also enjoys reading about politics and the economy and has become a fan of golf since relocating to Naples.
Out of all of his professors, his favorite has been Doctor Schneider. “She goes out of her way to ensure students have every opportunity to make the best of their education,” he said. “It is clear that she spends a lot of time out of class preparing the material in a way that students can understand. In class she uses repetition, acronyms and interactive class activities, which have helped me to be successful at Hodges.”
As the student of the month, James will receive a formal letter with the nomination comments for his portfolio and files, a certificate and a $100 tuition credit.
