Hodges names Student of the Month for November 2013
The Academic Committee of Hodges University has named Monte Warren the student of the month for November. Monte is studying in the Interdisciplinary Studies Program and looks to graduate in December, 2014. His ultimate goal is to work in higher education.
Originally from Kentucky, Monte served in the Army National Guard for 24 years, being named Soldier of the Yea four times. He is also a single parent of two; a daughter attending the University of Alabama and a son who is in the Army. Monte also serves as Commander of American Legion Post 397 at Hodges.
Monte loves anything to do with the outdoors, including fishing, watersports, snorkeling and camping. Monte also enjoys working with the HU Ambassadors Club. “If you have not joined a club at Hodges, I strongly urge you to do so,” he said. “I’ve made many friends and have had a great time because of my memberships in the clubs.”
As the student of the month, Monte will receive a formal letter with the nomination comments for his portfolio and files, a certificate and a $100 tuition credit.
