Hodges University to host Market Watch Workforce Now 2014 forum
Hodges University will host the Market Watch Workforce Now 2014 forum on Wednesday, October 22, beginning at 8:30 am, with breakfast at 8:00 am. The event will be held at the Hodges Fort Myers campus, 4501 Colonial Blvd.
Highlights of the event will include a full picture of the Southwest Florida labor market. Fresh, original insights will provide strategic guidance to employers, educators, entrepreneurs and community leaders as local experts look ahead. The event is being made possible by Workforce Now, a research initiative designed to inform and align all stakeholders involved in workforce, led by Dr. Aysegul Timur of Hodges University, Dr. Gary Jackson of Florida Gulf Coast University and Dr. John Meyer of Florida SouthWestern University.
Questions to be answered at the forum include how many open jobs are vacant right now in Southwest Florida, which industries will grow the fastest through 2021, what are the IT-related jobs most in demand, and what IT-related jobs will grow the fastest in the next six years?
