Hodges University to Celebrate Women of Southwest Florida

In recognition of Women’s History Month, Hodges University is celebrating the women of Southwest Florida who are making a difference in the community.

On March 2 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., Hodges University will host “Celebrating Women of Character, Courage, Clarity and Commitment.” The event will be held on Hodges’ Naples campus, in the White Community Room, which is located at 2647 Professional Way, Naples, FL 34119.

The 2017 honorees include:

  •          Barbara Key-Ramos, Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida, Inc.
  •          Brenda Tate – The Women’s Foundation of Southwest Florida
  •          Stacey Lee Williams – Our Mother’s Home
  •          Yemisi Oloruntola-Coates – Lee Health
  •          Dr. Aysegul Timur – Hodges University
  •          Eliana Tardio – Parent Education Network with Family Network on Disabilities

“This event is to celebrate the women of Southwest Florida and to recognize the unsung heroes who are making a difference,” said Gail B. Williams, chief diversity officer at Hodges University. “Also, men are strongly encouraged to attend this event and help us celebrate these amazing women,” Williams added.

The keynote speaker for the event will be Dr. Sheila A. Robinson, founder and publisher of Diversity Woman Media, and the honorary guest will be the university’s namesake, Thelma Hodges.

The cost to attend is $35 and lunch will be included. Raffle prizes will be given away, so guests are encouraged to bring their business cards.
