Hodges University Center to Host Volunteer Fair at Naples Campus on July 15
In collaboration with the United Way Volunteer Center, Hodges University will hold a Volunteer Fair from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on July 15 at the Naples campus, 2647 Professional Way. The event will provide an opportunity for attendees to meet local agencies face-to-face, make contacts, explore volunteer options, and inquire about ways to make a difference in the community.
The fair will feature several community organizations and the volunteer opportunities that they have available. Attendees will be able to learn about community resources in addition to volunteer openings that are available within southwest Florida. Community service organizations and nonprofits will have the opportunity to recruit volunteers and promote their cause.
This past spring, Hodges University president Dr. David Borofsky issued a call to service for all Hodges students, staff and alumni. “As part of our 25th anniversary, I am asking everyone to volunteer for a minimum of 25 hours with any organization as part of our Volunteer 25 Program,” he said. “We will keep track of all of the hours of community service that we accumulate with a goal of 4,000 hours. Our volunteer work will help our institution provide a bright future for our region.”
The fair is free to attend and open to the public. Organizations interested in participating are encouraged to contact Molly Grubbs at (239) 938-7815 for more information
