Hodges University Center for Nonprofit Excellence Introduces December Workshops
The Hodges University Center for Nonprofit Excellence (CNE) is hosting two workshops in December. Workshops are $35 each and can be attended on a one-time basis or to obtain a non-credit certificate in governance, operations, and management by attending a series of four workshops in the same category.
The “ Social Media is Social Giving” workshop will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 1, from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Attendees will learn how to leverage online efforts by gaining insight on development, tips to showcase vision, and return on investment (ROI) tracking. Sam Kelly, social media and online services coordinator at Harry Chapin Food Bank, shares how social media outlets are key to creating awareness for specific issues and for executing campaigns. The workshop will be held in Building H on the Fort Myers campus – 4501 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL 33966.
The “ Board Member Roles in Fund Development” workshop, taking place on Thursday, Dec. 10, from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m., is intended for CEOs, executive directors, and other individuals involved in the board recruitment process, as well as fundraising staff professionals. Workshop participants will learn how to harness the ideas and energy of the board while motivating, educating and communicating their importance in fund development. Presenting is Peggy Calhoun, president and CEO of Miller, Calhoun and Company. The event will be held in the Stock Building White Community Room on the Naples Campus – 2647 Professional Way, Naples FL 34119.
