The International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) Board of Commissioners announced at their Dec. 8-10, 2015 meeting that Hodges University’s Johnson School of Business received reaffirmation of accreditation of its business, accounting and management programs.

“This is a great confirmation for us as we continue to reach for excellence in business education. The IACBE reaffirmation of accreditation allows us to continue to improve student learning, as well as reach out into the business community and meet the workforce expectations. This provides our students with a tremendous opportunity to secure the best jobs and improve their careers,” said Aysegul Timur, dean of the Johnson School of Business.

Programs accredited by the IACBE include: Master of Business Administration, Master of Public Administration, Master of Science in management, Bachelor of Science degrees in accounting, business administration and management, and Associate in Science degrees in accounting and business administration.

According to the IACBE news release, “The Johnson School of Business at Hodges University has undertaken a rigorous self-evaluation; has undergone a comprehensive, independent peer review; and has demonstrated compliance with the following Accreditation Principles of the IACBE: Outcomes Assessment, Strategic Planning, Curriculum, Faculty, Scholarly and Professional Activities, Resources, Internal and External Relationships, International Business Education, and Educational Innovation.”

“The Johnson School of Business team deserves much appreciation. They spent one year working very hard to put together the information needed for the self-study, and they helped to recognize some of the areas that need improvement. For our faculty, this accreditation allows for learning best practices to improve student learning,” said Timur.

Hodges University will be publicly recognized for achieving its accreditation at the 2016 IACBE Annual Conference and Assembly meeting on April 7, 2016, in Memphis, Tenn.

Kansas-based IACBE is a specialized accrediting body for business and business-related degree programs at the baccalaureate and graduate degree levels in colleges and universities within the United States and around the world.
