Diane McKelvey named Student of the Month for December 2013
The Academic Committee of Hodges University has named Diane McKelvey the student of the month for December. Diane is studying in the Health Information Management Program and looks to finish her coursework this month. Her ultimate goal is to become a Cancer Registrar.
Originally from Ohio, Diane and her husband Jack relocated to Naples in 1995. She has two grown sons and five grandchildren. She also has an “adopted” foreign exchange student from Germany named Sandra. In her spare time she likes to read, travel, walk and play piano and she also enjoys studying German and French languages.
Among all of her classes, Diane has most enjoyed her coding classes. She also takes great pleasure in the successes of her classmates. “It has been wonderful to see how well they have done,” she says. “I have met some of the greatest professors at Hodges as well who help in making each student a success. Every one of my professors has been outstanding.”
As the student of the month, Diane will receive a formal letter with the nomination comments for her portfolio and files, a certificate and a $100 tuition credit.
