Dean of the Fisher School of Technology Nominated for Partnership Award
Dr. Albert Ball, dean of the Fisher School of Technology (FSOT), is a nominee for the Southwest Florida Regional Technology Partnership’s (SWFRTP) Partnership Award.
The Awards Gala presents awards for Innovention, Transformation Partnership, Women in Technology and Scholarship. The Partnership Award recognizes an individual who has “truly forwarded the mission of the organization.” The award will be presented on April 13 at the SWFRTP Eighth Annual Awards Gala in Fort Myers.
“To be honest, I was completely blown away when I received the news of my nomination. I consider it an honor to be nominated for this award. I have long admired and respected the work the Partnership does in Southwest Florida, and I do consider it a privilege to be a part of it. I try to spread the word about the Partnership as much as possible.”
Ball has collaborated with SWFRTP for many years, inviting the organization to host events on Hodges University’s campuses, encouraging the involvement of Hodges colleague Professor Tracey Lanham to serve on the SWFRTP board and by financially supporting the mission and vision of the SWFRTP.
Southwest Florida Regional Technology Partnership, Inc. is a nonprofit organization chartered in 2008. Comprised of technology companies and users, economic development groups and institutions of higher education, the SWFRTP Awards Gala is recognized as “Southwest Florida’s longest running, high profile “Excellence in Technology” event.
