Center for Nonprofit Excellence hosts session on planned gifts and giving

Hodges University News

The Center for Nonprofit Excellence at Hodges University will offer a session on reaching capital campaign goals with planned gifts. The session will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Hodges Naples campus, 2655 Northbrooke Drive.

This session will discuss the important work of nonprofits in helping their donors envision reaching their philanthropic goals with major and planned giving techniques. For decades, charities have used capital campaigns as the preferred means of reaching higher levels of support. While some development professionals and gift planning specialists see a capital campaign as a reason to put gift planning on the back shelf, more charities are realizing the numerous ways to incorporate philanthropic planning into campaigns. This practical, "how-to" session will engage adult learners in applying national standards to their institutions and reaching the apparently conflicting goals that will move their charity to much higher levels of support.

Conducting this workshop will be Scott Janney, Executive Director of the AtlantiCare Foundation. The AtlantiCare Foundation raises money to support the programs and services of AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center and develops relationships with individuals and organizations in the community who share in the vision of building healthier communities.
