Center for Nonprofit Excellence Holds Daylong Session on Accounting for Nonprofits
The Center for Nonprofit Excellence at Hodges University will present a full day seminar on the broad spectrum of finance and accounting topics for nonprofit organizations. The session will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at the Hodges Naples campus, 2655 Northbrooke Drive.
Guests will gain knowledge and insight to help in navigating the complete accounting and financial reporting issues facing many nonprofit organizations. This intensive learning opportunity will offer information for a wide variety of professionals including: executive directors, finance directors, chief financial officers, controllers, and chief executive officers.
Topics include identifying appropriate documentation to be an effective fiduciary for investment portfolios, common human resource compliance pitfalls, properly presenting fundraising activities on Form 990, and building donor and peer relationships with social media.
