The Certificate in Chemistry – Plan 2 is a post-baccalaureate, non-matriculating program in biomedical sciences designed for students seeking a temporary or professional educator certificate with mastery in the subject knowledge area of chemistry to teach grades 6-12 science.
The certificate program is 32 credits. The Florida Department of Education requires a bachelor's or higher degree with 30 semester hours in science to include 21 semester hours in chemistry with associated laboratory experiences.
