Joining Hodges University in 2005, Professor Minnette Smith’s expertise includes rhetoric and composition, writing pedagogy, and professional editing. She teaches English both online and in the classroom, and she is the director of the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP). The QEP is a five-year Writing in the Disciplines initiative for students.

Prior to her work at Hodges, Smith served as the managing editor for Wheaton College in the suburbs of Chicago. With a passion for English, she admits, “I hope that my passion shines through in all that I do here at Hodges.”

When she isn’t in the classroom or helping students brush up on their writing skills, she enjoys spending time with her family, listening to various types of music and assisting in community outreach.
