Dr. Miguel Rivera joined Hodges University’s Johnson School of Business in 2012, and he currently serves as chair of the Accounting program. His areas of expertise include financial reporting, auditing, forensic accounting and forensic analysis. Before his arrival at Hodges, Rivera held faculty positions at Florida Southern College, Inter-American University of Puerto Rico and Embry-Riddle University.
Before entering academia, he worked as a finance director, controller, auditor and financial operations manager for international and domestic corporations.
He is a member of the American Accounting Association, Florida Institute of CPAs, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Association of Accountants and Financial Professionals in Business.
When he isn’t teaching, he enjoys reading, fishing and watching baseball.
