MAcc, Hodges University (currently pursuing)
B.S. Accounting, Hodges University, 2008
An adjunct faculty member in the Accounting program at Hodges University, Laura Ball is a certified public accountant. Since the early 1980s, she has worked in various accounting positions. Making the decision to return to school, she managed to balance school, a full-time job and being a single mother.
Earning her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Hodges University, she sat for the CPA exam and declared a certified public accountant. Working part time, she prepared tax returns during tax season at a local CPA firm before accepting a full-time position as a senior accountant and taxation specialist. Wanting to give back to the profession “that has given so much to me,” she accepted the position of adjunct faculty member in Hodges’ Johnson School of Business.
In her free time, she supports local animal shelters and spends time with her two rescue dogs.
