B.S. English and Theater Education, Illinois State University
A native of Chicago, Illinois., Professor Jennifer McCue received her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction and began teaching at the age of 23. Her passion for teaching led her to convert a wig shop into an alternative high school on the south side of Chicago. Looking to get away from the cold, she moved to Florida 12 years ago to start a family and enjoy life. Missing her involvement inside the classroom, she applied to various universities. Her decision to join the faculty at Hodges was due to the “culture of the students and faculty dedication.”
At Hodges, her areas of expertise include English, curriculum and development, speech, and she part of Hodges University's QEP, Writing - Your Path to Success, team.
When she isn’t in the classroom, she enjoys paddle boarding, reading, theater and finding the perfect chocolate cake.
