For the past 31 years, Dr. Craig Heller has traveled the world teaching students at various universities about social stratification and gender, and how education can create inequality and provide opportunities for empowerment. He has organized and led study abroad experiences for students, and he has worked as a teacher and consultant for many international non-governmental organizations.
His main area of focus for many years has been combating modern day slavery. As a result, Heller maintains involvement in several nonprofit organizations including the Southwest Florida Coalition Against Human Trafficking.
As an adjunct faculty member at Hodges, he teaches courses in ethics, global perspectives and diversity.
