An adjunct faculty member in Hodges University’s Johnson School of Business, Arnold Miyamoto teaches finance. With more than 25 years spent in the financial services industry, Miyamoto retired in 2014.

Prior to his retirement, he served as the managing director and global head of the multi-asset group, as well as the global head of market quantitative analysis at Citigroup Global Markets. Miyamoto was also the head of Citi’s industry leading North America Foreign Exchange Sales and Trading team.

Miyamoto’s career also includes time spent as the global head of non-credit research at Banc of America Securities and Bank of America Global Investment Bank. He has experience in directing foreign currency research and product development at TSA Capital Management, as well as serving as a pioneer in the application of derivative strategies in asset management at Leland O’Brien Rubinstein Associates.

He has authored more than 80 articles on currency risk management, corporate risk management, portfolio management and quantitative trading strategies. He has served on various advisory boards, including the master’s in financial engineering programs at UC Berkeley and UCLA; and the master’s and Ph.D. programs at the Center for Research in Financial Mathematics and Statistics at UC Santa Barbara.
