This certificate program is designed to provide English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction to enhance a student’s existing knowledge, training, and job skills and further the student’s ability to pursue employment opportunities and assimilate into American culture.
The focus of the program is on a) speaking and listening comprehension; b) vocabulary and reading comprehension; and c) grammar and writing skills. Computer-assisted language learning enables students to reinforce their English skills.

Financial Aid is available for Levels 1-3 for students who qualify.
Two noncredit, college preparatory English courses are also offered at the advanced level. These courses are designed for international students, graduates and professionals who need to improve their usage of Standard English for college entrance exams and/or professional licenses and certifications.
One 15-Week Integrated Skills Course per Level Reading, Writing and Grammar (Level 4, I and II)
The program is designed to provide instruction in academic reading, writing, and grammar for non-native speakers of English who are pursuing a college degree at Hodges University.
