President's Scholarship Dinner

The First Annual President’s Scholarship Dinner was held on Thursday, November 7, 2013, at The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club.

The purpose of this event was to provide the women who attend or future women attendees of Hodges University with a higher level of scholarship support than is currently provided for them. Hodges University has a 68% female population. Most of the women are adult learners, many single mothers, and many with specific needs to be able to begin or continue their pursuit of a college degree.

This year’s event Chairs were Sandra Lee Buxton and Michele McKenney. The net proceeds from this event benefit the Friends of the Women in Higher Education Scholarship Fund. For more information, please contact Alyssa DeLora at 239-938-7826 or via e-mail at adelora@hodges.edu.

Humanitarian of the Year Award Luncheon

The Eighteenth Annual Humanitarian of the Year Award Luncheon honoring J. Dudley Goodlette, was held on Thursday, February 6, 2014, at 11:00 am at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, Naples.

The purpose of this event is to annually recognize an outstanding resident of Collier County for their enduring support of the local community, for fostering hope in those afflicted by despair, for proving that the promise of tomorrow’s future never means forsaking the past, and for demonstrating the degree to which a person can make a positive difference when times most demand it.

The net proceeds from this event benefited the J. Dudley Goodlette Friends of the University Scholarship Fund. For information on next year’s event, please contact Alyssa DeLora at 239-938-7826 or via e-mail at adelora@hodges.edu.

Spring Golf Classic & Scholarship Gala

The Tenth Annual Spring Golf was held on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Fiddlesticks Country Club in Fort Myers.

This event has grown to be one of the most anticipated and supported golf tournaments in Southwest Florida. The net proceeds from this event support the Men in Higher Education Scholarship Fund and the Scholarship Assistance for Veterans Education (SAVE) Fund.

Approximately 32 percent of the student body at Hodges University is male and over 10 percent of the student body are veterans. The Men in Higher Education Scholarship Fund and the SAVE Fund will greatly increase our ability to support the goals and aspirations of our outstanding male students and veteran students who will in turn enrich our society with their knowledge and leadership. Thank you for believing as we do that providing a scholarship is an investment in the men of today, and their sons and daughters of tomorrow.

For more information, please contact Alyssa DeLora at 239-938-7826 or via e-mail at adelora@hodges.edu.
