Stepping Out for Scholarships
You are invited to join us for an elegant and informative evening to benefit the Hodges University Women in Higher Education Scholarship Fund. “This event is a celebration of the accomplishments and amazing contributions of women in business, the arts and philanthropy,” said Dr. David Borofsky, president of Hodges University.
The event’s goal is to focus on and recognize the challenges the more than 1,200 adult women students at the university face every day striving to earn a college degree. These women provide the hard work, dedication and desire, but they often lack adequate financial support. All of the proceeds from “Stepping Out for Scholarships” are dedicated to financial support for women students at the university. Please join us Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Wyndemere Country Club in support of the Women in Higher Education Scholarship Fund.
Humanitarian of the Year Award Luncheon
Join us Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the Naples Grande Beach Resort for the Hodges University Humanitarian Award Luncheon. This is the 20th year Hodges University will recognize an outstanding citizen(s) of Collier County who personifies society’s most valued human characteristics and thus has profoundly impacted the quality of life in our community. Each year’s Humanitarian is selected by a committee composed entirely of past Humanitarian of the Year Award recipients.
The event is embraced by the most prominent citizens of Collier County and is a celebration of men and women who give their time, talent and treasure in support of improving the human condition in our community. For a complete list of the past distinguished Humanitarian honorees, visit http://www.hodges.edu/support/humanitarianhonorees.aspx.
Luminary of the Year Award Luncheon
The Hodges University Luminary Award is presented every other year to a citizen(s) who personifies society’s most valued human characteristics and thus has moved society in a positive way, serving as a distinguished example of the virtues of perseverance, honesty, moral character and charity. Hodges University is pleased to honor Betty Bireley as its 2015 Luminary of the Year.
Spring Golf Classic & Scholarship Gala
The Spring Golf Classic & Scholarship Gala has grown to be one of the most anticipated and supported golf tournaments in Southwest Florida. The net proceeds from this event support the Men in Higher Education Scholarship Fund and the Scholarship Assistance for Veterans Education (SAVE) Fund.
Approximately 32 percent of the student body at Hodges University is male and over 10 percent of the student body are veterans. The Men in Higher Education Scholarship Fund and the SAVE Fund will greatly increase our ability to support the goals and aspirations of our outstanding male students and veteran students who will in turn enrich our society with their knowledge and leadership. Thank you for believing as we do that providing a scholarship is an investment in the men of today, and their sons and daughters of tomorrow.
