Hodges University Receives Diversity Award >

Lee Pitts, host of the “Lee Pitts Live” television program, has awarded its first “Diversity Excellence Award” to Hodges University. The award is given to an organization in our area that exemplifies a true commitment and appreciation for diversity within its structure and throughout our community.
The award was presented to Hodges University President, Dr. Terry McMahan, and University benefactor Earl Hodges during a recent broadcast of the program, which airs locally on MyTV8 on Comcast cable. U.S. News & World Report recently recognized Hodges University as having one of the most diverse student populations among colleges in the South.
On behalf of the University, McMahan reflected on the importance of diversity both at the school and in the community as a whole. “It is these values that make our community a better place to live and work for everyone, regardless of race, religion or creed,” he said. “In being recognized with this honor, it helps the University further our mission of fostering and encouraging cultural diversity.”
Program host and producer Lee Pitts has great praise for the University and its diversity program. “Hodges University has been a leader in this area in its efforts to create a diverse higher education environment through its ongoing efforts to maintain a diverse student body, faculty, and curriculum.” said Pitts.
