Phil Marina  '10

Participation in Community Service Outreach:
I volunteer with Pasco, Hernando, and Pinellas Education Foundation and logged over 100 hours in 2010 for Hernando, Pasco, and Pinellas County Schools. I am also a financial literacy volunteer for schools and have volunteered at various local community functions.
What is your favorite Hodges memory?
Mike Smith's ability to relate what we were learning in class to his real life working experiences.
What do you like most about the career path you have chosen?
I worked for Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union for six years. I started out as a part time teller and was promoted to a member service representative a year and a half later. I quickly progressed within my role as a member service representative and earned many credit union awards along the way. At age 24, I was promoted to a Branch Manager, which was the youngest in the credit union's history.  I was a branch manager for a year when I was recruited to PricewaterhouseCoopers as a consultant for their GRC practice.
Please share what you feel to be your greatest accomplishment.
My greatest accomplishment was becoming the youngest branch manager of the credit union and having the opportunity to now work for a Fortune 100 company (PwC).
