William Beach teaches Intro to Healthcare Information Technology and Intro to
Health Services Management in the Health Services Administration Program. Prior
to joining the Hodges’ School of Allied Health, he taught in the Masters of
Health Administration program at University of Missouri and the Business School
at Phoenix University Online.
Beach received a Ph.D. in Health Care Informatics at the University of Missouri
in Columbia, a master’s degree in Liberal Arts from Johns Hopkins University,
and an MBA from the University of Louisville. His bachelor degree is in Health Services Management, obtained at the
University of Missouri, Columbia.
Beach’s diverse career has included many administrative positions in healthcare
facilities. He served as the CEO for Hospital
Punta Pacifica in Panama City, Panama, and the Associate Medical Director for
Anadolu Saglik Merkezi in Istanbul, Turkey. Johns Hopkins International manages both institutions. He also held a position as Operations
Administrator in Radiology and Radiologic Sciences at Johns Hopkins Hospital
and served as the Director of Invasive Cardiology at the Jewish Hospital Heart
and Lung Institute. In addition, Dr.
Beach held positions as Assistant Manager and Respiratory Therapist in Cardiopulmonary
Services at the University of Missouri Hospital. He is currently active in Healthcare Information and Management Systems
Society (HIMSS), serving
as Chair of the Population Health Task Force for the Clinical and Business
Beach is married with four grown children. He and his wife enjoy traveling, tandem
biking, snorkeling, and love the ocean. In his free time, William plays guitar, bass and writes songs. He once
played in a Turkish rock band in Kadikoy, Istanbul.
