Mary Nuosce

Dean : Nichols School of Professional Studies

Dr. Mary Nuosce earned a Master of Science in Community Counseling and a Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education & Supervision, both CACREP-accredited, from the University of Akron. She is licensed as a Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida and as a Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio. She is also a National Certified Counselor.

Before moving to Florida, Dr. Nuosce worked as a licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with an Employee Assistance Program and with a group of psychologists. Prior to joining Hodges University, Dr. Nuosce managed the administrative and clinical operations of a residential substance abuse treatment program in Naples and also provided individual and group counseling services to the chemically dependent residents.

Currently the Dean, Dr. Nuosce joined the Nichols School of Professional Studies at Hodges University in 2009 and is also the Program Director of the Master in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program (MCMHC). She teaches courses in the MCMHC program as well as counseling courses in the Applied Psychology program.

Dr. Nuosce is proud that at Hodges, "…we use the most current evidenced based practice therapies, particularly those that are utilized in our local communities. As a result, our graduate students are making positive impressions at their internship sites which increase their chances of employment."

Dr. Nuosce is married and moved to Florida in 2001. She enjoys baking and spending time at the beach.
