The purpose of the Bachelor’s of Health Administration is to provide interested students a quality undergraduate program in health administration and management through an innovative curriculum. The program strives to offer an outstanding experience for adult learners to engage in active learning to enhance their knowledge of the business of healthcare in today’s society. Graduates of the program will be prepared to fulfill management and leadership roles and responsibilities in a variety of healthcare fields. The program is developed around a core curriculum of required courses within healthcare, along with a series of liberal arts courses to assure the broadest based educational experience for the student. The primary objective of the Associate in Science in Health Administration program is to prepare students for entry level positions in a variety of healthcare settings and to provide the students with a firm foundation for the Bachelor of Science in Health Administration program. The program emphasizes not only the quantitative skills such as coding and financial management, but also provides the students with the fundamental knowledge of the health sciences along with the administrative knowledge to begin their careers in healthcare.
