Greg Forbes  '13

Health Administration

Special Recognition:
March 2013 Student of the Month
Bio:
I am a dual citizen of Canada and the U.S. and moved from Pittsburgh to Naples in August 2012. Currently, I am a fulltime student looking to break into the healthcare field.  I am working on my second Bachelor’s degree; my previous degree was Bachelor of Science Business Administration - Human Resource Management.

Hobbies/extracurricular interests:
I am an avid golfer although I only classify as a weekend hacker. I enjoy any activity that involves being outside. The weather in Florida is spoiling me since we can be outside 12 months of the year.

Why did you choose Hodges University?
I chose Hodges University because of the Health Administration program format. The ability to finish quickly appealed to me.

What do you like best about Hodges University?
I previously attended a larger state school in Pennsylvania, it had about 12,000 students. The atmosphere at Hodges is much more intimate. I have found that all of my professors are willing to go out of their way to help. The assistance that I have been provided outside of the classroom is equally as important as the education I have received inside the classroom.

What is your favorite class at Hodges University and why?
U.S. Healthcare System - I did not have an in-depth knowledge of how the healthcare system worked in the U.S.  Learning about the Affordable Care Act and how it will affect everyone will be a benefit as I start my healthcare career.

Previous college/educational experience:
I graduated in 2007 from Slippery Rock University with a BS in Business Administration - Human Resource Management.

Bachelor of Science in Management

The Management Program is designed to provide students with a well-rounded background in the management discipline and is delivered in a fast-paced environment.
