Hodges University will offer Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) prep course for those planning to take the LSAT this fall. The prep courses consist of an intense ten-week program, held at the Hodges Fort Myers campus beginning on July 26. The campus is located at 4501 Colonial Blvd. in Fort Myers.
“Entrance into law school is based on several factors including a person’s grade point average, personal achievements, writing ability, and LSAT scores,” said Dr. Andrew Weyl, Legal Studies Program Chair at Hodges. “The purpose of the LSAT prep course offered at Hodges University is to provide individuals with the skills necessary to maximize their understanding of the test and to enhance their ability to solve the questions and provide correct responses.”
According to Dr. Weyl, instruction will be provided for each of the three primary test sections; Logic Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, and Reading Comprehension. In addition, individuals will be given tips on how to maximize their response to the LSAT writing sample. Though the writing sample is not scored, some law schools read the writing samples for each candidate as a means of learning more about the applicant’s ability to write clearly and with persuasion.
Locally, Hodges University will host the LSAT on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at its Fort Myers campus.
