The Academic Committee of Hodges University has named Kenneth Worthy the student of the month for November.
The Academic Committee consists of the program chairs and other elected faculty, chaired by the Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Jeanette Brock. Mr. Worthy was nominated for the award by Judith M. Fox in the Department of Student Development.
“Ken is a man of great integrity and an exceptional, dedicated student,” said Fox. “He is a natural-born leader and leads his peers by example. On any given day, one can rely on being greeted by Ken with a smile and a positive attitude. However, Ken is not opposed to speaking his mind when he feels that it would be a valuable contribution. His can-do attitude makes it a pleasure to be around him, and I find his positivity infectious. I have witnessed, on more than one occasion, Ken altruistically helping other students with homework, offering someone his lunch, and even offering rides to students who need transportation. Hodges is undoubtedly a better place because of Mr. Worthy.”
As the student of the month, he will receive a formal letter with the nomination comments for his portfolio and files, a certificate and a $100 tuition credit.
