While the final figures are still be tallied, the results of the 2012 Hodges University Spring Golf Classic brings the overall total to over $500,000 raised for scholarship support since the inception of the tournament. This was the eighth year that the tournament has been held.
“I would like to thank our generous sponsors for supporting our Spring Classic this year, as well as in year’s past,” said Phil Memoli, Vice President of University Advancement at Hodges. “I would also like to thank all of our golfers who came out to play in support of our scholarship program. They truly help make a difference in the lives of our students who seek scholarship support, including the many veteran students who are returning from the battlefields of Afghanistan and Iraq and are choosing Hodges University to help them reach their academic goals.
“Countless numbers of our students are balancing the demands of working full time jobs, raising families, and carrying arduous schedules, all the while seeking to advance their educational pursuits. The funds we raise each year at our tournament are making a difference in the lives of these students, and on behalf of them, our thanks to all who supported the golf outing.”
Plans are already being made for the 2013 Spring Classic. For more information, please contact Phil Memoli at (239) 938-7827.
