Hodges University will hold its fall 2013 English as a Second Language (ESL) graduation ceremonies on December 18 for its Fort Myers students, and on December 19 for Naples campus students. Both events begin at 10 am.
Addressing the Fort Myers class will be Carmen Salomé, Executive Assistant to Lee County District 1 Commissioner John Manning. At the Naples ceremony, Chengi Muyambo, CEO of Core Functionality will address the graduates.
“This term we have a little over 400 students enrolled in our program,” said Leisha Klentzeris, Director of the ESL program at Hodges. “About 75% of our students come from Spanish-speaking countries throughout Latin America, but we also have students from European countries like Switzerland, Albania, Italy, and Russia as well as students from Asian countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Korea, China, and Turkey. Most of these students are here on an international student visa.”
