The Academic Committee of Hodges University has named Gregory D. Watson the student of the month for October.
The Academic Committee consists of the program chairs and other elected faculty, chaired by the Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Jeanette Brock.
According to nominating professor, Dr. Tom Hofmann, “Greg Watson does very well in his classes and provides leadership to his fellow students by encourages them to think more and study more. His online participation reflects the same ability to engage classmates at a high level of discussion.
“Greg eventually wishes to pursue a career as a psychotherapist. He has done a considerable amount of background reading and critical thinking about his proposed profession. This is reflected in the sophistication of his work. He recently completed a user’s manual for a software vendor as a directed study, using previously learned database skills. He shows a Masters level awareness of the clinical issues of assessment due to his frequent reading and research. Greg is an exceptional student”
As student of the month, Watson will receive a recognition certificate and a $100 tuition credit.
