The Hodges University Foundation has unanimously approved the appointment of Dr. Edmundo Muniz, M.D., Ph.D., to its Board.
Dr. Muniz is President and CEO of Tigris Pharmaceuticals, a development stage biopharmaceutical company devoted to finding breakthrough therapies for cancer patients. The company is located in Bonita Springs, FL.
Dr. Muniz has over a decade of drug development experience in oncology, cardiovascular, and infectious disease. Prior to joining Tigris, Dr. Muniz was Vice President for Lilly Research Laboratories Global Oncology Platform at Eli Lilly and Company. Dr. Muniz completed his PhD in Epidemiology and International Health at the University of Michigan and later completed a residency in Preventive Medicine and a Fellowship in Epidemic Intelligence with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta.
