The Academic Committee of Hodges University has named Rene Acosta the student of the month for January.
According to nominating professor Vin Faris, “Rene Acosta is one of the best students that I have ever had in my CIT1015 class. He is a dedicated student who sets an example for all other members of the class to follow. He arrives to class early, submits all work on time, complete and correct.
“Rene has previous computer experience coming into this class and his questions are often a bit above the norm for an entry level class. His questions and participation help drive the entire class to a higher level. He has a positive attitude in the class and is always eager to use his computer experience to assist other students in the class. Working as an “unofficial” student teaching assistant, he is always eager to assist and has been a great help during hands-on lab sessions.”
Rene will receive a recognition certificate and a $100 tuition credit. Congratulations, Rene! We are proud of your academic success.
