With season in full swing, the site of an RV on area roads is not an unusual occurrence. However there is one RV making its way to this region of Florida that should turn more than a few heads. The Wheelmobile, a 32-foot Winnebago that tours nationwide in search of contestants for the popular TV game show “Wheel of Fortune” will be on the lookout for contestants at two stops at Hodges University.
NBC-2 and Hodges University will co-sponsor a contestant search for the popular game show on April 5 and 6 from 1:00 p.m. to 5 p.m. both days. The Wheelmobile will be at the Hodges University Ft. Myers campus on April 5 and the Naples campus on April 6. The Ft. Myers campus is located at 4501 Colonial Boulevard and the Naples campus is at 2655 Northbrooke Drive (off of Immokalee Road) in Naples.
There is no need to arrive hours in advance of the event. Everyone who attends the event will be able to submit an application to appear on the show. Participants will be selected to audition via a random draw. The event is free and open to the public, though applicants for the game show must be at least 18 years of age.
Hodges University will also have staff on hand to answer questions regarding enrollment procedures, academic course offerings and various financial aid opportunities at the University. Summer term at the University begins May 12.
For more information regarding the event, contact NBC-2 at (239) 939-2020 or Hodges University at 513-1122 ext. 6169.
