Hodges Center to host free lecture on managing relationships with adult children

The Frances Pew Hayes Center for Lifelong Learning at Hodges University will host a free lecture on managing relationships with adult children. The session, “Find the Harmonies,” will be held on Friday, February 12 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the main campus building of Hodges University, 2655 Northbrooke Drive, off Immokalee Road, just east of I-75 in Naples.

This program will focus specifically on fathers and their children. Though these relationships are essential, most have no training and little guidance in how to manage these relationships. The workshop will explore what has been learned and what is yet to be learned as families negotiate the terrain of fathers with their sons and daughters. Participants will find this session to be a nourishing, supportive and meaningful experience.

The program will be facilitated by Dr. Sidney Simon, Professor Emeritus at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He is an internationally recognized authority in the areas of value clarification, values realization, self-esteem and negative criticism. He has published numerous books and has contributed to Reader’s Digest, Ladies Home Journal and Glamour among others. Dr. Simon has spoken at the Betty Ford Clinic and has appeared on Oprah and the Phil Donahue Show. Dr. Simon has lead seminars around the world for over 25 years. He is often described as one of the most dynamic yet caring and tender seminar facilitators offering workshops today.

The session is free of charge but reservations are required. To reserve a seat, please contact Christine Wheeler at (239) 598-6133.
